The series it's self deserves the highest marks.It opened up my eyes about people how they think what they go through. It's not traditional horror nor traditional "zombie" fiction. This is new it's original. I downloaded after the cure I am so glad glad did. The way the books meet together. This ending. It left me with that hallowed out feeling the people who passed those who lived. The villains and heros. So much was packed into this I'm not sure another book or series will ever match up to this. Deride Gould is brilliant.
This has horror, suspense, romance, mystery, and a lot of kick ass action. I found myself quoting thing in this series. It made me stop and think about really deep maters. I had no idea coming into this that'd I'd purchase the entire series. If you don't read this you will be missing out on an amazing experience.

The 40th Day After the Cure Book 5 eBook Deirdre Gould Reviews
This was a great ending to a really unique series of zombie novels. I loved how everything was tied together so well. The characters are really fleshed out well in this novel. Some of the more minor characters are given personality and we get to see the growth of other characters. I`m glad that I stuck with this series.
I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend the entire series starting with After the Cure. I really like how the stories differ but the characters intertwine through the series. After reading the first book I was totally hooked and read the remaining 4 books in order in just a couple weeks. I'm sad there aren't any others out (yet).
I have read a lot of this kind of fiction, and i enjoyed yours the most. The writing is exceptional, characters are full, the story very real, the things that people might think about in these situations and the revelation of internal nature of the individual was really food for thought. I am speaking about the entire series because i read one book after the other--i had to know what the characters knew as they learned it, and thats the highest praise i can give. Thank you.
Well, I'm kinda torn about how I feel about this last book in the series. Mostly I'm happy that things were taken care of as much as possible so that life can go on as well as it can for those left....but considering all the horrible people that cropped up and took advantage of the nice people in each book - I just don't know that I can believe in a good long happy-ish life for the characters....
As the small colony of people that left the city work to create a safe home, a new group that arrives is causing problems. And one of them is not who he claims. He is found out after Nella and Frank return to the colony to help and to rescue a friend from the city. Only to find that they may have been safer just staying away. Between the threats in the small colony, the infected and the need to destroy the new infection in the city, survival is far from guaranteed.
I have enjoyed this series since the first book! Every book has never let me down and this 5th book hasn't let me down either. This book touched base on some characters back stories and where they came from which was nice to hear about all the characters. I have to say I have been waiting so long to find out what happens that I finished this book in a day! I couldn't put it down, just like the others. Hoping to see if we more books from the hospital!!!
I loved this series from day one and it was hard not to devour the whole series at once. I had to pace myself so that I could really enjoy it. I hope Dierdre Gould returns to this world in later books. Hearing what happens as the colony grows would be spectacular. If you havent started the series you need to get out there and start reading. Its well worth it!
